How to Reach Shimla – Complete Travel Guide

By Road: Shimla can easily be reached from Delhi (8-9 hours of driving time) or Chandigarh (3-4 hours). Travel can be accomplished via Volvo buses, taxis for private use or your personal car.

By train:
Travel regularly between Kalka and Shimla via regular trains before taking advantage of its spectacular mountain views by riding on the Kalka-Shimla Toy Train, which has become famous due to its scenic journey.

By air: Jubbarhatti Airport (22 km away) may offer flights but flights are infrequent and most travelers opt to fly into Chandigarh Airport first and transfer by taxi directly to Shimla from there.
